Since 1995, the VSDC has been offering courses in tailoring, embroidery, and value added embellishment in readymade garments. Additional courses such as computer applications and hardware, electrical, electronics and wiring, were introduced in the curriculum in 2011. Two years thereon, garment supervisory skill development courses were introduced along with personal development courses. The overall goal of the various skills development courses is to provide youth, especially women, better employment opportunities. VSDC offers courses in the districts of Tirupur, Tiruchirapalli, and Theni.
